Professional
Upon graduation from Central Connecticut State University in 1996, Scott sought a career in which he could feel connected to his work. He wanted a career that would be meaningful and allow flexibility. He also wanted to be active in his community and feel good about helping others.
After a corporate move from Connecticut to Albany, NY and being in a "sales" job, Scott decided he liked living in Albany, and liked working with people. Scott also knew that simply selling products to customers was not fulfilling his desire to impact people. He wanted to help people by providing a professional financial service. He also wanted to develop lifelong relationships with his clients. He wanted to impact, inspire, and motivate them to identify and live their dreams. He found that opportunity, being part of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. He was attracted by the strength of Northwestern Mutual, along with the diversity of the Network's insurance and investment products and services.
Scott can educate clients in the areas of estate, retirement and financial planning, as well as use personal planning analysis to identify needs and provide a comprehensive plan specifically for you.
Before you agree to receive financial planning services, please see complete information and disclosures in the NMIS Financial Planning Brochure (also called the ADV brochure) and review the terms of the NMIS Planning Engagement Agreement. These may be obtained from Scott Garbien.
